By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, communicating with our team, or starting a rental request, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Use of the Website

The Shift Rental Cars website is intended to provide information about our brand, vehicles, services, availability, rental experience, support for high-end automotive dealerships, and contact channels.

Information published on the website may be updated, modified, or removed at any time without prior notice.

Use of the website does not guarantee vehicle availability, rental approval, final pricing, protection coverage, delivery, or acceptance of any rental request.

2. Rental Requests

Requests submitted through the website, forms, messages, phone, email, or other digital channels are subject to review and approval.

Submitting a request does not constitute a confirmed reservation until Shift Rental Cars confirms vehicle availability, customer requirements, protection or insurance options, payment information, required documentation, and any other applicable requirements.

Shift Rental Cars reserves the right to accept, reject, modify, or cancel rental requests when the information provided is incomplete, unverifiable, does not meet internal requirements, or is not aligned with operating policies.

3. Vehicle Availability

Vehicle availability may vary based on dates, times, maintenance, prior reservations, location, protection requirements, internal approval, and other operational factors.

Vehicles displayed on the website may be subject to change without prior notice. Images, descriptions, or references to vehicles are provided for informational purposes and may not represent immediate availability.

4. General Driver Requirements

To rent a vehicle from Shift Rental Cars, the driver must meet the company’s requirements and the applicable Rental Agreement.

Only the renter and any authorized additional drivers listed and approved may operate the vehicle. Drivers under the minimum required age are not permitted.

Shift Rental Cars may request additional information to verify identity, driver’s license, insurance, payment method, address, rental purpose, delivery location, and any other information necessary to review the request.

5. Payments, Deposits, and Charges

The customer is responsible for all applicable charges related to the rental, including base rental charges, taxes, additional fees, optional products, protection options, damages, cleaning, tolls, fines, administrative fees, and any post-return adjustments, as applicable.

Shift Rental Cars may charge the payment method provided for amounts due related to the rental, including but not limited to rental charges, damages, loss of use, cleaning fees, fines, tolls, administrative fees, and post-return adjustments.

Payments, deposits, holds, or authorizations may be subject to review, bank processing times, reservation processing requirements, and specific rental conditions.

6. Insurance, Protection, and Verification

Customers may be subject to insurance, protection, or verification requirements before a rental is approved.

When a customer chooses to use their own insurance, Shift Rental Cars may require additional documentation to review and validate the information provided.

Submitting insurance documents, identification, or other verification materials does not guarantee rental approval.

7. Permitted Vehicle Use

Shift Rental Cars vehicles must be used only in accordance with the approved rental terms and the applicable Rental Agreement.

Vehicles may not be used by unauthorized drivers, for commercial transportation, transporting persons or property for compensation, towing, racing, testing, off-road driving, illegal purposes, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, smoking, vaping, unauthorized out-of-state travel, travel to Mexico or Canada, or any other prohibited use described in the Rental Agreement.

Violation of these conditions may result in additional charges, cancellation of protections or waivers, responsibility for damages, and other consequences allowed by the Rental Agreement and applicable law.

8. No-Pets Policy

Unless expressly authorized in writing by Shift Rental Cars, pets or animals are not permitted inside the vehicles.

Violation of this policy may result in cleaning, detailing, odor removal, repair, or damage-related charges.

9. Delivery and Service Area

Shift Rental Cars may offer complimentary delivery within Palm Beach County, subject to operational availability, confirmed reservation, and internal approval.

Requests outside Palm Beach County may not be accepted at this time.

Delivery, pickup, return location, and timing must be confirmed by Shift Rental Cars before the rental begins.

10. Vehicle Return

Customers must return the vehicle on the agreed date, at the agreed time, in the agreed condition, and at the agreed location.

Late returns, unauthorized extensions, failure to return the vehicle, or returning the vehicle to an unauthorized location may result in additional charges and other consequences under the applicable Rental Agreement.

11. Damage, Loss, Fines, Tolls, and Cleaning

The customer may be responsible for damage, loss, theft, towing, storage, loss of use, diminished value, administrative fees, cleaning, fines, tolls, impound charges, and other costs related to the rental.

The customer is also responsible for tickets, tolls, SunPass-related charges, impound fees, and related costs incurred during the rental period or received after the vehicle is returned.

12. GPS, Telematics, and Monitoring

Vehicles may contain GPS, telematics, or other monitoring devices.

Shift Rental Cars may monitor vehicle location, speed, braking, usage, and related data for recovery, safety, maintenance, security, and contract enforcement purposes.

By renting or operating a vehicle, the customer and any authorized driver acknowledge and consent to this type of monitoring, subject to applicable documents and law.

13. Personal Property

Customers are responsible for removing all personal property, luggage, belongings, and valuables from the vehicle upon return.

Shift Rental Cars is not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle, whether lost, damaged, stolen, or otherwise.

Personal property remaining in the vehicle after return may be considered abandoned and may be removed, stored, discarded, donated, or otherwise handled at Shift Rental Cars’ discretion, subject to applicable law.

14. Communications

By submitting a request or communicating with Shift Rental Cars, you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message, email, or other communication channels related to your inquiry, reservation, verification, documentation, payment, delivery, return, customer service, or follow-up.

You are responsible for providing accurate and updated contact information.

15. Third-Party Sites, Platforms, and Services

Shift Rental Cars may use third-party or integrated services to manage reservations, payments, verification, forms, communications, analytics, or other related services.

Use of these services may be subject to the terms, privacy policies, and conditions of those third parties.

Shift Rental Cars does not control all features, availability, processing times, or technical decisions of external platforms or third-party providers.

16. Limitation of Liability

The Shift Rental Cars website and digital services are provided in good faith. However, we do not guarantee that the website will be free from errors, interruptions, delays, technical issues, or outdated information.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Shift Rental Cars shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the use of the website, digital services, rental inquiries, or related communications.

Specific limitations related to vehicle rentals are governed by the applicable Rental Agreement.

17. Privacy and Data Protection

Use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

When necessary to review a rental request, Shift Rental Cars may request identification, driver’s license, insurance-related documents, verification materials, payment-related information, or other information related to the approval process.

Submitting this information does not guarantee rental approval.

18. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute related to a rental, vehicle, payment, damage, breach, service, or related matter may be subject to the dispute resolution provisions in the applicable Rental Agreement.

These provisions may include informal resolution, binding arbitration, class action waiver, jury trial waiver, small claims exceptions, injunctive relief, and opt-out rights, as stated in the Rental Agreement.

19. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any matter related to the use of the website or digital services of Shift Rental Cars shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, unless the applicable Rental Agreement or another signed document provides otherwise.

Any applicable venue or jurisdiction provisions related to a vehicle rental shall be governed by the applicable Rental Agreement.

20. Changes to These Terms

Shift Rental Cars may update, modify, or replace these Terms of Service at any time.

The version published on the website will be the current version.

Continued use of the website, services, or digital channels after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms of Service.
